Gesture towards your future: Join our Multimodal Communication Lab!

Why Us and Why Multimodal Communication?

Our lab focuses on unraveling the complexities of communication by studying the multiple modalities involved in human interaction. This area of research is vital in contemporary society, as it enhances academic success, reflects real-world communication patterns, and deepens our understanding of the interdisciplinary relationship between human behaviour and cognitive processes. We are particularly interested in gestures and speech. Our research explores how gestures facilitate the speech production process, what cognitive and linguistic abilities support the integration of gesture and speech in both production and comprehension, and how these modalities develop hand-in-hand. By joining our lab, you will contribute to cutting-edge research with significant applications in cognitive science, psychology, linguistics, and communication technology. As part of our team, you will actively engage in exploring how humans communicate and process multimodal messages.
